Day 33 Eureka to Ferndale 26 miles

What a difference a day makes!  After a great night's sleep we woke up to sunshine, blue sky, no wind ( apart from Rob's on - going problem!) and a delicious breakfast of sausage, scrambled eggs and coffee!  We met Vicky and Andy ' s two lovely daughters, Mackenzie and Lily and looked round Rick ' s building project project opposite.  It was very interesting to see the different construction methods and building materials used over here compared with the UK.
Today's ride was a real treat as we decided to cycle only 26 miles, having cycled hard since the motorhome trip without a rest day.  We arrived early afternoon in Ferndale, a quaint Victorian town Rob had cycled through before, so pitched our tent and spent the afternoon having a leisurely wander around the town and a delicious icecream  (there's no chance of putting on weight on this trip so we can eat what we want).
We booked a table at the up market Victoria Inn, expecting to pay Harrogate prices but we're not bothered as we're only paying €12 for our accommodation aka the campsite!
