Having picked up a great jeep cherokee hire car (thanks Eric for help with the booking from the UK!), we drove inland from San Diego to Palm Springs. Gorgeous town in superb surroundings and very hot!
We visited Palm Canyon Indian Reserve and completed a short 4 mile walk in desert like conditions - breathtaking rocks and palm trees.
On 11th November we went to the Veterans' Day parade in the centre of Palm Springs. The Americans certainly know how to honour their war heroes.
