Having enjoyed an interesting hop on hop off tour of San Diego yesterday, we made it into (and out of) Mexico today - a relief as the result of yesterday's US presidential election is causing some unrest and protests here to say the least. We went on an organised day trip on a minibus - into Tijuana for some tequila tasting and shopping, then a drive along the highway next to the wall for lunch at a very traditional fish restaurant followed by a walk along the beach before returning into America across the border with Mexico. Tijuana was very shabby, with areas of extreme poverty although in contrast, along the coast, there were areas which were clearly wealthy. All very different from the USA and much cheaper for goods and eating out.
All a very different experience!
