We completed our 450 mile round trip back to Quilcine today - fortunately with the camper van intact (phew). It was pouring when we awoke at 6.30am but no problem in the camper van - in fact it was very snug looking out if the camper van window knowing we weren't destined either to cycle or camp today. After a long drive back in the mist and rain, we caught the ferry back over to Kingston and returned to Sally and Greg 's house for another delicious meal and our last night in a comfortable bed.
Tomorrow we shall be resuming our planned trip on bikes all the way down to San Diego - only 1750 miles to go and it's very autumnal here already! Think I've brought the wrong clothes for this weather!
Who planned this trip? A very pleasant 28 degrees here in sunny Spain. Even thinking of taking the hotel bikes out for a short spin. BN are you now into RV purchase planning?
