Day 7 Rest day in Victoria

Having cycled hard for the last 6 days we left the bikes in our hotel room and set off on foot to be 'proper' tourists in the beautiful city of Victoria.
The highlight of the day was a very informative guided tour of the impressive British Columbia parliament building where all the important decisions and laws governing British Columbia are made.
Feeling rather more educated, we then proceeded to have afternoon tea in Murchies - the Victoria version of Betty's.
After a full on day, we came to the conclusion that cycling is definitely less tiring than being real tourists!
Today is our last day in Canada - tomorrow we shall be taking the ferry to San Juan Island in the USA which is reputed to be a cyclists' paradise.  Just hoping the VISA and ESTA work!!

  1. How many more weeks in the saddle ? Need to know as I did say our donations would be based upon weeks completed.

  2. Christine sends best wishes and some words of advice.... Her latest health mag says that dark chocolate (90%) helps cyclists. So a useful treat!
